Summary

When Shiami moves from her quiet hometown to Anteerith’s bustling capital with her two best friends to attend university, she expects big things. Maybe she’s not looking for love like Sonia or dreaming of a spot in competitive sports like Raquel, but she’s ready to find an adventure of her own. Or at least that’s what she tells herself right up until their first night out when they witness a bizarre attack at a dance club and Shiami discovers a dog small enough to sit in the palm of her hand stowed away in her backpack.

Suddenly, life in the big city is looking a lot more dangerous and a lot more strange. But Shiami is determined to make this move work—and if that means learning to hunt demons and investigate magical crimes then so be it. She did, after all, promise to explore her career options, although she’s pretty sure this wasn’t what her father had had in mind.
